The owners of TERRA-NET Kft., a Hungarian manufacturer of precision plastic components and assembled parts, sold 100% of the company to Anton Paar Group, a global technology leader in high-precision analytical instruments and process measurement systems. The transaction integrates TERRA-NET into Anton Paar ShapeTec, expanding the group’s international production network with a dedicated plastics manufacturing and assembly facility in Hungary.

Hungarian TERRA-NET Kft. is a specialist manufacturer of precision plastic parts and assembled components, primarily serving export customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2019, the company’s owners sold 100% of their shares to Anton Paar Group, which integrated the business into its subsidiary Anton Paar ShapeTec as its tenth production facility, operating on a 7,000 m² manufacturing site.

Anton Paar is a global technology leader in high-precision analytical instruments and process measurement systems, operating in more than 110 countries with over 4,200 employees, 30+ sales subsidiaries and nine production sites worldwide. The acquisition further strengthens Anton Paar’s European manufacturing footprint and enhances its capabilities in precision plastics and component assembly.

Deal rationale

The transaction aimed to integrate TERRA-NET’s advanced plastic component manufacturing and assembly capabilities into Anton Paar’s international production network, expanding both production capacity and technological capabilities at Anton Paar ShapeTec.

Through the acquisition, Anton Paar strengthened its supply chain resilience by establishing a dedicated plastics and assembly hub in Central Europe. The integration also supports further technology investments, workforce expansion and operational scalability, aligned with Anton Paar’s long-term strategy to grow its global production footprint and serve industrial clients more efficiently.
