The business – established in UK, with team members all around the world – has been acquired by ContentSquare – a global leader in digital experience analytics and service provider to over 30% of the Fortune Global 100 – and integrated into Hotjar's portfolio, which supports more than 1.3 million websites across 180+ countries.

Deal rationale

ContentSquare acquired 100% of the company’s stake after completing the acquisition of Maltese-US giant Hotjar in 2021, a dominant player in the digital user experience segment serving more than 1.3 million websites across 180+ countries. As PingPong joined Hotjar under the new brand name “Hotjar Engage”, the buyers expanded their portfolio and could rapidly introduce new technological offerings to an existing large customer base.

Our M&A team advised the shareholders of PingPong UX throughout the transaction process by preparing the company valuation, assisting in investor negotiations, evaluating offers, supporting due diligence, shaping key investment terms, facilitating SPA (Sale and Purchase Agreement) negotiations, and coordinating signing, closing, and related tasks.
