Databricks, the global data and AI leader now valued at $62B, has made one of its first European investments by co-investing in Datapao, a high-growth data and AI consultancy and long-time European partner of Databricks. The investment was completed alongside Euroventures, one of the earliest Central European VCs with a strong track record of successful tech investments including EPAM, SequenceIQ, Banzai, and DataArt.

During the rapid growth in the AI and data space, Databricks – now valued at $62 billion following its $10 billion Series J round – has made one of its first European investments by co-investing in Datapao, a leading data and AI consultancy with 60% CAGR between 2021 and 2024. The deal, completed alongside Euroventures – one of the earliest Central European VC firms with a portfolio of more than 50 companies and a strong track record of international exits including EPAM, SequenceIQ, Banzai, and DataArt – builds on Databricks’ long-standing partnership with Datapao.
Deal rationale
Datapao helps enterprises turn GenAI strategies into impact through modern platforms, scalable solutions, and workforce enablement. The Data/AI consultancy firm - that is in a long-standing partnership with the San Francisco-based data giant - will use funding to accelerate the Databricks migration programs to help customers bring the missing data for AI use-cases, launch a new wave of GenAI learning programs to accelerate enterprise upskilling and expand its consulting footprint in the financial services sector, where safe, scalable AI has become a strategic priority.
