About the event

This Equity Thursday event focused on the organisational and cultural challenges that rapid growth and acquisitions created for scaling tech companies. We discussed how founders and management teams navigated expanding teams, new roles, international offices and the need to reinterpret company culture at speed, as well as what seasoned investors had advised. The conversation also explored how to manage successful post acquisition integration when new teams with different mindsets join the organisation. Insights came from leaders of Starschema and Gloster, along with investors from 3TS Capital and experts from Absolvo and HRFest.

A growing team, new offices even on other continents, new functions, competencies and leaders, new challenges, the interpretation and reinterpretation of corporate culture all of which the founder or management team has to manage at lightning speed even though they have likely never done anything like this before… What is the seasoned investor’s experience and good advice on the topic?

And another dimension: when the company continues to grow through acquisition this is not an irrelevant strategy for tech companies either… Entire teams may arrive into the organization sometimes with a completely different mindset and with various feelings about the acquisition and the integration has to be managed effectively the alignment of different cultures has to be solved.
