M&A Analyst

The Absolvo M&A team is looking for a new Analyst to join our Budapest office.

Why do companies acquire other companies? Who are private equity investors? Which sectors will attract the most capital in the coming years? What does a company sale process actually look like? Your responsibilities will include:

In private equity, venture capital, M&A, company sale/acquisition and valuation projects:

• Participating in the preparation and support of business and financial plans, as well as company valuation calculations
• Carrying out analytical tasks related to strategy and business planning
• Analysing financial and strategic investors, deals and market trends
• Preparing and compiling transaction-related documents and materials for investor negotiations
• Integrating AI tools into M&A processes, developing new methodologies, and continuously testing new tools
• Supporting the company’s business development and marketing activities

What we are looking for:

• University degree, preferably MSc, in economics, finance or accounting
• Strong English skills, both written and spoken
• Confident MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Active use of AI tools
• High work capacity, motivation to develop, eagerness to learn, reliability and precision
• Project-based mindset, ability to manage several tasks in parallel, and ownership of results

What may be an advantage:

• Business analyst or data-related experience
• Strong presentation design and visual communication skills
• Basic programming knowledge and/or experience or interest in AI and vibe coding
• Knowledge or experience in VC/PE, M&A, corporate finance or transaction advisory services
• German or other foreign language skills
